E-02 Throttle fault

The throttle is sending a signal while the scooter starts, or a signal the controller does not expect. This stops the scooter from taking off on its own.

What to check

  1. 1

    Switch off. Press and let go of the throttle a few times: it must spring back fully on its own.

  2. 2

    Switch on without touching the throttle.

  3. 3

    If it keeps coming back, check the throttle cable where it bends at the handlebar and at the folding joint for damage.

  4. 4

    A throttle that is sticky or cracked needs replacing.
