E-01 Rear motor Hall sensor fault

The controller cannot read the position sensors inside the rear hub motor. The motor usually stutters, shakes or will not start.

What to check

    Switch off and unplug the charger.

  2. 2

    Follow the rear motor cable from the wheel to where it plugs in. Look for a pulled, pinched or cut cable, especially where it leaves the axle and where the rocker arm moves.

    Unplug the connector, look for water, green corrosion or bent pins. Dry it, spray contact cleaner, let it evaporate, plug it back firmly.

  4. 4

    Switch on. If the code stays, the sensor or its wires inside the motor are likely damaged: a shop job.
