What is an idle game?
An idle game is a game that mostly plays itself. You make choices and the game keeps working while you do something else.
How they work
You start by clicking to earn something: cookies, coins, cheese. You spend it on things that earn it for you. Those earn more, you buy more, and the numbers grow faster and faster.
Why they are hard to stop
There is always an upgrade just about affordable. That is the whole design.
How to get good at them
Buy whatever pays for itself soonest. Multipliers beat flat bonuses once you are going. And when a game offers a reset in exchange for a permanent bonus, take it: that is how you go faster the second time.
